Rooms

Our Bistro

Chally’s Bar & Bistro caters for private events for up to 150 people for a sit down dinner and around 200 for a cocktail type event. The Bistro has full bar facilities with space for a portable dance floor and stage as well as an interactive kids corner to keep the little ones entertained. The room is equipped with an audio system perfect for speeches with wireless microphones and audio options for iPods etc.

Our Member’s Room

The Members Bar adjoins the meeting room and can be used in conjunction for larger meetings. It has its own full bar facilities and is ideal for an engagement party or 21st type event. The members bar opens onto a large deck which overlooks the bowls and golf greens. We can cater for up to 150 people with finger food catering and around 60 seated.

Our Meeting Room

This area is ideal for smaller functions such as meetings of up to 20 people board room style or 40 theatre style.

Outdoor Dining on the Deck

Our deck has its own BBQ’s for self-catering with BBQ packs available for purchase. Finger food and full meals are also able to be served on the deck. The perfect setting for relaxing under the stars or include a game of barefoot bowls in your function.

Room Hire Fees

Our fees are very reasonable and maybe negotiated under special circumstances such as charity events or guaranteed large numbers. Please speak with the Function Manager in regards to these arrangements.

Bar

As the function holder you may set up a bar tab for your guests with beverage selections and credit limit set by you. Once the limit has been reached you may choose to add further funds or your guests can then ‘pay as you go’.

Chally’s Bar and Bistro Catering

The options range from finger food to buffet, set menus and ‘a la Carte’ menu. Sample menus are included in this pack. If you would like to have something different please advise our Functions Manager and we can tailor food to your requirements.

Special Dietary Requirements

We are able to cater for special dietary requirements with a range of vegetarian meals and meals which can be modified. Please advise us seven days prior to your event if there are any special dietary needs.

Tea/Coffee Station

A self-serve station and can be made available for your event at an additional charge.

Cakes

Special occasion cakes can be purchased in house or may be brought in, if produced by a registered commercial operator. Please ensure that the cake is transported in accordance with advice from the provider. The club will supply plates, napkins, spoons and a cake knife for your use. If you would like our staff to plate your cake there will be an additional charge.

Decorations

You are most welcome to add your own special touch to your function by supplying your own decorations. Please do not use sticky tape or pins as all decorations must be easily removed and leave no residue. No candles other than birthday candles may be used.

Music

Our Bistro is equipped with a modern PA system which includes 2 wireless microphones. You are most welcome to provide live entertainment or a jukebox. You may also bring your own music on a media device. Outdoor music may have limitations on the hours.

Minors

Children under 18 are most welcome at the function however they must be accompanied by an adult. Minors are not permitted in the Gaming Room at anytime. Please note that Chalambar Golf Club adhere to RSA and RSG codes of conduct.

Parking

Our off street parking is available free of charge.
